About Us
The Dolphin Store is a non-profit gift store aboard Subase New London operated by SOSA. The Dolphin Store is SOSA’s only year-round fundraiser and all profits are donated to the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation.
July News
The Dolphin Store is pleased to announce that it will resume operations on Wednesday, July 9! We have jumped through all the hoops and we remain dedicated to our fundraising for the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation. Stacy Severtson has turned over the role of store manager to Angie Holland and our core group of store volunteers is excited to get back to work! We are so grateful to those who have supported the Dolphin Store in the past, and especially those who supported the store at the Sub Hop Charities Auction and at the May SOSA meeting.
Due to the 6-month halt of business, our inventory is lower than normal, but we still have boat neccessities such as rack packs, children's items such as clothing and toys, and submarine-related housewares such as dessert plates and platters. Angie is looking forward to purchasing new and popular items for the store, so please continue to stop by the store to check for new inventory.
Location and Hours
Located in Building 108 in between the furniture store and thrift shop, we will maintain the hours of 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. We are also available for FRG meetings.

Wish List
In order to donate the maximum amount to the DSF, the Dolphin Store relies on volunteers and donations to keep the store running cheaply, smoothly and efficiently. The following is a wish list of items we hope to obtain through your generous donations.
- a copy of Windows XP for the new laptop
- Quickbooks Point of Sale (an inventory/selling software)
- full-size vacuum
Always on our wish list is MORE VOLUNTEERS! Shifts are two hours long and the work is painless. Children are welcome: DVD and VCR available, as well as an exersaucer, play kitchen, and coloring table. All you need to do is shadow one shift to learn the basics of opening and closing, credit card transactions and special orders.
Thank You
Thank you to the volunteers who have worked consistently throughout the fall: Jen Roberts, Sue Derenski, Saskia Leather, Melissa Bloomrose, Tara Brooks, Brenda Spencer and Christina Porter. We appreciate the time and effort you put into the Store.
